From Finding Jobs to Creating Jobs: Community and Economic Development for Boston’s Future

Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation will host a program series that will bring together community residents, entrepreneurs, creators, non-profit leaders, policymakers and other experts to confront challenges in Dorchester and nearby neighborhoods.

The inaugural DotThought™ event — From Finding Jobs to Creating Jobs: Community and Economic Development for Boston’s Future — will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Roxbury Innovation Center in Dudley Square, Roxbury. Dr. Banu Ozkazanc-Pan, Associate Professor of Management at UMass Boston is the featured speaker. She will lead a discussion about moving away from just job training/skills development toward entrepreneurship, wealth creation, and ownership.

The event is free and open to the public. Food and beverages will be provided.

Space is limited. Pre-registration is required to attend, and space will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
