October 11, 2022 – Quincy Heights –In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Dorchester Bay’s Resident and Community Engagement team organized an event to celebrate our Hispanic/Latino residents on September 20th at the John Barboa Community Room at the Quincy Heights property. The event was the first in-person celebration held onsite in over two years and was attended by many from our properties. Thanks to community officer Ralph Blaine, at least one resident from each of our properties was able to participate. We are deeply grateful for Ralph’s time and effort as he generously transported residents unable to access transportation to the event location.

The event included food, music, political education, and live performances representing the vast cultural richness of various Latin American and Hispanic countries. We are proud to have received catering from local Dorchester restaurants -Brother’s Market, Caramelos, and Monte Cristo’s.

From Central America to the Caribbean to South America, various cultures were represented and included in the cuisine. Lastly, we were thrilled to have witnessed a performance by the well-known Estrellas Tropicales group during the night.

Dorchester Bay proudly celebrates the cultural richness and diversity that liven our properties and community. We look forward to many more celebrations in the future.
