September 28, 2016 – Dorchester Bay hosted an intimate gathering of business owners, nascent entrepreneurs, activists, policymakers, and supporters at Diablo Glass School in Roxbury. The event was a community-building effort by DBEDC to thank our partners who have supported economic development in the communities we serve. Guests were treated to a live glassblowing demonstration, networking, and discussion with public sector leaders who are committed to supporting entrepreneurship in our neighborhoods.
Guests included Ronald L. Walker, II, Secretary of Labor & Workforce Development for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; Karilyn Crockett, Director of Economic Policy & Research for the City of Boston; Jennifer Constable, Deputy Manager of Community Development for the Department of Housing and Community Development; Susan Dickason, Director of Individual Giving and Leadership Gifts at United Way; and Liora Beer, Executive Director of the Fairmount Innovation Lab.
Thanks to our guests for making it a memorable evening!
