Shira Burns is the Communications Manager. She oversees public relations and communications to DBEDC constituents, and the organization’s print and digital marketing.
Shira is passionate about nonprofit communications and storytelling. She recently managed communications for the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston and prior to that handled communications for the nonprofit Keshet. Shira holds an MA in Communication from Johns Hopkins University and a BA in English Literature from Smith College.
In her free time Shira enjoys singing in a choir, volunteering with Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, and playing with her cat at home in Jamaica Plain.
