Indigo Block Commercial

Overview:

Spurred by our success at Bornstein & Pearl, Dorchester Bay recently embarked on a partnership with Boston Capital, Escazú Development, and Newmarket Community Partners to redevelop an abandoned light industrial site at 65 East Cottage Street, right next to the Uphams Corner station on the Fairmount / Indigo Commuter Rail Line. Indigo Block includes 80 units of mixed-income housing, 4 two-family homes, and 20,000 square feet of light industrial space. The light industrial building will provide space for up to 4 light manufacturing and office use businesses in a mass transit-accessible location. As with our previous light industrial projects, our mission at Indigo Block is to create jobs for local residents of Dorchester, Roxbury, and Mattapan.
