(Boston, MA) Governor Maura Healey has appointed Kimberly R. Lyle, CEO of Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation (DBEDC), to the board of MassDevelopment. Lyle, who previously served on the board of the Massachusetts Growth Capital Corporation (MGCC), joins MassDevelopment’s board following its merger with MGCC, aligning two major economic development agencies to better serve businesses and communities across the Commonwealth.
“I am honored to join the MassDevelopment Board at this pivotal time,” said Lyle. “The merger with MGCC strengthens our ability to drive economic development and expand access to capital. Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to ensuring that communities have the financial tools and resources they need to thrive. I look forward to working with my fellow board members and MassDevelopment’s leadership to advance this mission and build long-term economic resilience across Massachusetts.”
The merger aims to foster greater coordination and stronger support for businesses and mission-driven organizations of all sizes and across various industries. DBEDC looks forward to building on its partnership with MassDevelopment to provide small business support and economic development in the communities it serves.
